Denny’s Connecting to Students – From Cradle to Career

Hungry for Education Program: September 1, 2014 - April 1, 2015

Our Hungry for Education scholarship program offers over $200,000 in scholarships to high school and college students across the country. The competitive program, created by Denny’s and in partnership with leading minority advocacy organizations, awards scholarships to students across the country who present unique, actionable ideas on ways Denny’s can help end childhood hunger in local communities. Denny’s/Tom Joyner Foundation Wilberforce Project Donates $25,000 in Scholarships

Since 2002, Tom Joyner and Denny's have partnered to raise funds for programs that support: The National Civil Rights Museum expansion in Memphis, Tennessee, The King Center Community Service Youth Non-violence program, The Tom Joyner Foundation Single Parent scholarship initiative, Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day, Hungry for Education, Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage, ... and this year, Denny’s/Tom Joyner Foundation partnered to support Wilberforce University’s need to sustain student enrollment (Wilberforce Project)

Through a cooperative commitment to education, Denny’s and TJF will partner to support Wilberforce University, a Historically Black College and University located in Wilberforce, Ohio (www.wilberforce.edu). The Wilberforce Project plans to increase student enrollment and encourage sustainability of Wilberforce University by donating $25,000 in scholarships. This effort will enhance graduation results at Wilberforce University to students who will be returning to school to complete their education.
