Denny’s continues to partner and support organizations
that are recognized as leaders in diversity
As America’s Diner and one of the nation’s largest restaurant chains, Denny’s takes pride in working within the communities we serve. We’re dedicated to giving back to the neighborhoods where we do business — and helping our diverse communities grow stronger.
One of our recent initiatives, our Hungry for Education scholarship program, offers over $200,000 in scholarships to high school and college students. The competitive program, created by Denny’s and in partnership with leading minority advocacy organizations, awards scholarships to students who present unique, actionable ideas on ways Denny’s can help stop childhood hunger.
In addition, for the past three years, Denny's has also partnered with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® program, a national movement aimed at ending childhood hunger by connecting kids with healthy food where they live, learn and play. Denny's raised over $700,000 through the incredibly generous donations from our guests in the first two years and we are anticipating a large donation this year as well. One hundred percent of proceeds will support No Kid Hungry's efforts to help the more than 16 million American children that struggle with hunger. By working hand-in-hand with communities across the country, Denny’s strives to be a local leader in raising awareness and relief for childhood hunger.
Forming partnerships with like-minded organizations such as Share Our Strength is just one way that Denny’s invests in the local regions we serve. We have relationships with over 25 unique women, minority, and community focused organizations. We’re proud of our commitment to the communities near our restaurants, and look forward to new opportunities to make a difference for local families and the next generation.
